A senior.
A cowboy.
Class of 2019.
The routine became religion.
The monotony wiped all expression.
And in your ease,
I found all the beauty.
Weathered goods,
and hours on end.
Working you to work me.
In time,
there is no end.
I’ll ride til’ the day I die.
A cancer survivor.
A senior.
8th grade, class of 2019.
And it was all things simple that started calling me.
Life teetered, as a diagnosis defined me.
Quick and standstill had me at best.
In dark days, I practiced smile.
Smile after smile, light I found.
Simplicity sang to me, while support lifted me.
Perspective in full ripple effect, I kept on and defied all odds.
I am all things,
A survivor is just the start!

What if,
Instead of fear,
Courage met you at the door.
What if,
I can’t,
Became I can.
What if,
The judgement of others,
Dissolved in self confidence.
What if,
Hating ourselves,
Turned into acceptance embraced by self love.
What if,
The past that haunts us,
Put us in motion.
What if,
The reflection we saw,
Was what we really are.
What if,
The sky was only the first step.
What if,
We centered ourselves around possibility,
And welcomed failure as growth.
What if,
We took this mindset,
Lived it,
Breathed it,
And embodied it.
What if,
It started today.
A Free Spirit.
Senior, Class of 2019.
In this chapter,
And the next,
I stand.
I ride the vibrations,
and embrace the light.
In new and old,
I am essence of the essence.
Artist.
Musician.
Muse.

Master of all Mediums,
Artist Portraits, 2019
Christopher is an artist of many mediums, but making music was always his ultimate passion. He taught himself instrument to instrument, and learned the process of producing music.
In 2018, Christopher survived a brutal car accident on the busy road to Big Sur, where he lives. The scenic road that attracts thousands of tourists every year, had taken almost all the mobility from his left hand. The hand he strung his favorite instrument with, the guitar.
The journey to recovery has not been easy. A dozen surgeries later, with more on the horizon, Christopher still and probably will never have full mobility of his fingers. The guitar he once strung so easily, now sits in the corner of his room.
However, Christopher hasn’t given up on the guitar. He has began practicing playing with the other hand. He also has decided to dive into another medium. Painting has also always came natural to him, but it had been on the back burner with his music. He is currently creating a series of paintings of the Big Sur area, specifically of the road that has taken his hand from him, and also so many others lives. His hope is to educate tourists that this beautiful drive is also one of most dangerous roads.
Take a look at his work!
In life,
We get thrown.
In character,
We evolve.
In flaw,
We survive.
In art,
We cope.
The sweetest love.
Engagements, 2019.
My greatest contradiction.
An oxymoron of the sense.
Through your pose,
I breathed wild and embodied calm.
Safe at home,
At the edge of my seat.
Laughing my days into hysteria,
To love beyond end.
My love.
My friend.
In some type of way,
You have me.
A morning with.
Engagements, 2019.
In dance and song,
We’ve made our way around the sun.
Steadfast in my tune,
You laid my foundation.
In sync we’ve mastered ordinary.
With push and pull,
our rhythm engrained.
A chorus running on end,
Forever in my head.
Our love knows no genre,
Only the chords of every instrument.
Hear it beat in the depths of my heart.
Listen to it scream through the realms of my soul.
This love,
is ours.

Nostalgia comes and goes.
Today it settles deep in my soul,
Riddling my mind to no end.
My heart tells me,
Today is different.
I walk in the shadow,
A borderline man.
As a boy I looked to your light.
In stumble and precision,
With grace you were.
A true stand-up.
These shoes have been big,
Since before my time.
As my shadow descends,
I state at them in awe.
A Cinderella story bids my life.
I stand into them a young man,
Set on spending my lifetime filling your shoes,
And walking amongst your light.
The thing that you didn’t know you needed.

Six Months, 2019
Six months with Sloane has been nothing short of magical! So thankful to be an aunt and watch their own little personalities evolve. Sloane is always so curious and calm. What better way to celebrate six months, than with a milk bath of flowers outside. Her older brother, Noble, of course had to join the fun. So much nostalgia watching these siblings bond.

I am the wildflower at dawn,
Glimmering in the sun.
The wild in the day,
Bringing color to your ordinary.
I am the soul above,
Shining through the clouds.
The strength in the air,
Filling your lungs.
I am all things,
Wild and free.

It’s as much of me,
As to you.
I followed the line,
You lead the way.
Hook by hook,
I persevered.
In catch and release,
A champion you grew.
Ripple to ripple,
A reflection of you,
Forever baited in my soul.
Power in numbers, Strength in unison.
